Played yesterday. Besides the construction going on and shorten hole #8 our group moved along with hardly no waiting. Only gripe is pin placement. Maybe just the greens not having many options for playable locations. But it seemed like every put above the hole was unstoppable and if uphill would roll back to where you started. Disappointed so will play elsewhere for $53.
A very average course. A decent layout but consistently drier than other area courses. Average pace of play can be expected. I did not see any ball wash stations or water refill stations while playing. Good beverage service. Good place for beginning players but more experienced players may want to look elsewhere.
The course is fun with slight hills. Currently parts are under construction. The club house has a decent selection of shoes and apparel. There is a bar with a large area for golf outings. The course is geared toward average golfers. The prices are mid range for the Omaha area. I like golfing here. There are better maintained courses, but the Knolls are trying to improve with construction of creek retaining walls and the grass gets better each time I golf there.
Great place to play. Carts are a little beat up but it is a city owned course. My 7 yo daugthers first golfing experience .
Reasonable price public golf course. The other public courses in Omaha was at leas$5 more. I fond know why since it's all publicly owned.
Rude staff. I called to book a tee time and whoever I talked to kept asking me why I didn’t just book online. I said sorry I didn’t know how it worked since I have the Omaha golf card and it was my first time using it. He says “well it says it right on the card.” After all that nonsense he continued to book my tee time anyway lol. Whoever it was shouldn’t be talking to paying customers and instead fixing the terrible conditions of the course.
Fun course, a lil wonky on the front 9 at hole 6 but some unique holes
Pace of play was awful, 3 hour front 9. When we pulled up to the 10th tee there was a 4 some on the green, one in the fairway, one on the box, and already two four somes waiting, not including us… employees were notified multiple times about pace of play and nobody seemed to care. They had construction which made them shorten a par 3 to 60 yards which is fine because they make you go over a sand trap but it doesnt look like they have moved the box since the start if the project, we had to hit literally out of rock solid dirt. Lastly, the “regulars” according to the club pro, were rude, they were upset about the slow play which we had no control over and hit into us multiple times even though we couldn’t play our second shots yet. But again nothing was done about that when we also mentioned that to the staff
